Áron Jancsó: Type & Posters
As this is likely my last post of 2011 I wanted to highlight some more work of Áron Jancsó from Hungary who I exchanged emails with this week. I posted some of his work very early-on after starting Type Worship in April so it feels like a conclusive way to round off the year.
As with many designers like Neville Brody, the symbiotic way that Áron’s lettering for his posters provides DNA for some of his typefaces (as with Ogaki) and that his fonts have enabled further posters (see Sensaway) is a great method for exploring and refining letterforms. Each feeds and develops the other and of course it’s a good way to visualise the forming of words and how they perform at size. See more of his work here and Behance. Both fonts mentioned are available from Gestalten
I wish all of you a very Happy New Year! I like to thanks everyone who has visited, commented, liked, reblogged and followed (now 13,005 today!)
